Throughout the great classic Rashmirathi, Dinkar seems to hold the view that the Mahabharata war should have been avoided. Wars should not be fought on personal prestige points. Instead, the greater issues of tremendous attendant human suffering and avoidable loss of lives should be more important considerations. Here is a small excerpt from the book, that focuses on the selfish motives behind wars. Illustration is by Garima Saxena. Rajiv Krishna Saxena
