Geeta-Kavita Collection of Hindi poems & articles
Geeta Kavya Madhuri:
“Geeta Kavya Madhuri” published in the year 2002 by Pustak Mahal, New Delhi is written by Prof. Rajiv K. Saxena. In this book all 700 Sanskrit shlokas of Bhagwat Geeta have been translated into metered Hindi verses. This enabled the readers to sing the verses and memorize them by heart. The book was widely welcomed by the readers. Dr. Karan Singh wrote the preface of the book and was the chiefguest in the book release function held in the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi while Prof Saxena was the Pro-Vice Chancellor at that time (year 2002). Geeta Kavya Madhuri was presented to the well known poet and the then Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his residence, who was very appreciative of the work. (See the photo above).
गीता काव्य माधुरी:
गीता सभी पढ़ना चाहते हैं। पर संस्कृत के विद्वान तो सभी हैं नहीं। हिंदी में कई टीकाएं हैं पर पद्य पढ़ने में जो आनंद है वह टीका पढ़ने में कहां। पद्य का अर्थ आपको मन में ही उपजता है जबकी टीका किसी और के विचार होते हैं। गीता काव्य माधुरी में गीता मात्राबद्ध छंदों में प्रस्तुत की गई है और गीता के 700 श्लोकों में से हर एक का पद्यानुवाद इस पुस्तक में है। यह छंद 8 मात्रा यानी कि कहरवा में बड़ी सुगमता से गाये जा सकते हैं और शीघ्र ही कंठस्थ हो जाते हैं। डॉक्टर कर्ण सिंह नें पुस्तक की प्रस्तावना लिखी और इसका विमोचन भी किया । विमोचन जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय में किया गया (साल 2002) जब प्रोफेसर सक्सेना विश्वविद्यालय के प्रति कुलपति थे। गीत काव्य माधुरी की सराहना जाने माने कवि और उस समय के प्रधान मंत्री श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने भी की।

I am profoundly impressed by your steadfast dedication to simplifying the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. Your commitment to spreading its lessons in a simplified manner is truly commendable.
While there are numerous versions of the Bhagavad Gita, I found the Bal Gita and Kavya Madhuri particularly engaging. Your efforts in simplifying the essence of the Gita have left a lasting impact on me.
I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of your rendition compared to other versions I have encountered. I have already shared excerpts with children, and my daughter found the Bal Gita version especially captivating. Personally, I am drawn to the poetic rendition.
