Submit Poems / Read poems sent by readers

Readers are welcome to send poems (typed in Hindi Unicode) for consideration of publication on Geeta-Kavita.com. You can send poems of well known poets that in your opinion should be included in Geeta-Kavita collection. Poems written by yourself or your friends will also be considered. Poem should be written in Hindi or one of its dialects. Please do not send more than one poem at a time. Geeta-Kavita publishes only selected poems for its readers. Selection process is stringent and appeal to readers is the most important criteria. Copy-rights are retained by the authors. The website is free to readers and pays no remunerations to authors. Following types of poems will not be considered:

• Long poems of more than 500 words.
• Topical poems that have short-term relevance.
• Poems about politics and politicians.
• Poems complaining about contemporary problems / issues.
• Poems that an average intelligent reader cannot understand.
• If the poem is supposed to be metered, please count syllables and match them.

We are specifically interested in poems that reflect the subtleties of human emotions at various phases of life. Decision of our editors will be final and no correspondence will be entertained on that account.
