हे सांझ मइया – शलभ श्रीराम सिंह

In closely knit joint families, there are so many restrictions. Open display of affection between husband and wife is a strict no no! One has to behave. हे सांझ मइया

शंख फूंका सांझ का तुमने
जलाया आरती का दीप
आंचल को उठा कर
बहुत धीमे
और धीमे
माथ से अपने लगा कर
सुगबुगाते होंठ से इतना कहा–
हे सांझ मइया…

और इतने में कहा मां ने–
बड़का आ गया
बहन बोली : आ गये भइया।
और तुमने
गहगहाई सांझ में
फूले हुए मन को संभाले
हाथ जोड़े,
फिर कहा…
हे… साँझ… मइया…
